State Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that unknown miscreants pelted stones at Rahul Gandhi’s car when he was visiting Malda as part of Bharat Joro Nyaya Yatra. The window of Rahul Gandhi’s car was broken in the crowd. But Rahul Gandhi was not injured. The incident took place at Malda’s Harishchandpur after Nyaya Yatra re-entered West Bengal from Bihar. The state government did not even allow Rahul Gandhi to stay in the state guest house. The Yatra will enter Murshidabad on Thursday. The West Bengal yatra was scheduled to cover 523 km of six districts. These include Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, North Dinajpur and in the second phase Malda and Murshidabad.
