After that Senior Literary Atin Das in his address recalled the age-old tradition of the college. He said, behind the glory of a college, many people work hard and contribute a lot. It is for that glory that today the college is going to become a university. In this regard, he said that by getting educated in higher education, one should not only establish oneself, but also contribute to the progress of the society and the country. Swami Vivekananda said, Selfless life is real life. All educated people need to remember this. Former principal educationist Dr. Jagdish Chandra Majumdar in his speech spoke about his thirty-seven years of close contact with the college and emphasized on maintaining the quality of the college and university in the future. Senior lawyer Anil Chandra Dey recalled his memorable days with the college and wished the college and university continued success in the future.The 89th foundation day program of the college became international today due to the presence of Mrinmoy Chakraborty, Director of the Indian High Commission Indira Gandhi Cultural Center from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was very emotional in his speech and said that even if he has the opportunity to study in big colleges or universities due to living in different countries of the world, he wants to teach his daughter in this college.Principal Dr. officiated the event. He said that since the college is going to become a university soon, this is its last foundation day celebration as a college. So it has a different significance.
