GST Collection make history by collecting around Rs. 1.87 lakh crore in the month of APRIL

Gst Collection increased by 12 percent Annually to over Rs. 1.87 lakh crore which is all time monthly high.The collection includes Rs.88,440 crore(CGST),Rs.47,412 Crore (SGST), and Rs.89158(IGST) Data released on Monday by finance ministry.The previous GST collection was in April 2022 at about Rs. 1.68 Lakh crore.

During the month, the revenues from domestic transactions (including import of services) are 16 per cent higher than the revenues from these sources during the same month last year.

The highest ever single-day GST tax collection was recorded on April 20, 2023, when the mop-up stood at Rs 68,228 crore paid through 9. 8 lakh transactions. The highest single day payment last year (on the same date) was Rs 57,846 crore through 9.6 lakh transactions.

Among the indian States Maharashtra collected the highest at about Rs. 33,196 crore far better than previous year was about Rs. 27,495 crore followed by Karnataka(Rs.14593), Gujarat(Rs.11721), and Tamil nadu(Rs.11559).
