The BJP has given tickets to 49 OBC and SC candidates in its fourth list for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election.

In its fourth list for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election, the BJP has given tickets to 49 candidates from the Other Backward Class (OBC) and Scheduled Caste (SC) communities out of 85 candidates

Of these, 30 candidates are from the OBC category and 19 from the SC.

In the OBC category, 10 tickets have been given to candidates belonging to the Lodhi caste, seven to Kurmi, one each to Nishad and Yadav. Eleven tickets were given to the Mauryas, Kushwahas and Shakyas.

Names of 195 candidates have been declared so far.

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2022 will be held from February 10 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

This time, the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls are likely to witness a four-cornered fight among the ruling BJP, Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party, the Congress and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party.
