Republic Day parade time changes! First in 75 years

For the first time in 75 years, the Republic Day parade will not start at 10 a.m. at the scheduled time. The Covid-19 will be delayed by 30 minutes due to restrictions and respect for security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir. According to a senior police official, the annual Republic Day parade starts at 10 am but this year it will start at 10:30 am .

He added that the late is Due to Covid-19-related restrictions and before the start of the parade, security personnel who lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir will be honored. Like last year, the parade will be 90 minutes long. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the wartime memorial near India Gate. The march will pass later.

The parade will represent cultural diversity, social and economic progress. The official added that the tableau would go up to the Red Fort and be parked there for public display. But the marching contingents will stop at the national stadium. Due to restrictions on Covid-19, artists performing on Republic Day cultural events are not allowed to meet anyone. This is because they travel in sanitized vehicles and are kept isolated to avoid becoming infected.
